Join Birmingham Airport’s Airside Operations team as a Ramp Safety Officer (RSO) and play a key role in ensuring a safe and efficient airside environment. This fast-paced, front-line position involves overseeing all apron activities, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with Aerodrome procedures. • Monitor and ensure all airside activities comply with safety regulations and best practices.• Conduct safety and compliance audits, inspections, and risk assessments.• Ensure airfield safety during adverse weather conditions, including low visibility and high winds.• Investigate and report safety occurrences, near misses, and hazards in line with procedures.• Build and maintain strong relationships with airside stakeholders to promote a Just Culture.• Support the implementation of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention and removal procedures.
• Previous experience in airside operations, safety management, or compliance roles.• Strong understanding of Aerodrome procedures and airside safety regulations.• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.• Ability to work independently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and nights.• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
