Birmingham Airport is the UK’s seventh largest with 30 airlines serving over 120 destinations direct and onwards to over 400. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic 13m customers a year flew in and out of BHX. Role Details

You will be trained to:

• Control access into restricted areas of the Airport.
• Screen personnel via body searches and bag searches
• Carry out security Identification and boarding card checks to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) standard
• Respond to and assisting with emergency situations such as aircraft emergencies, terminal evacuations, and security incidents.
• Carry out escort duties, including special events as required
• Provide proactive communication to ensure all personnel are fully prepared for Security screening
• Undertake patrols as required
• Read and adhere to security notices as well as completing required documentation
• To be compliant with Aviation Security local operating procedures, working practices and protocols and airport bylaws
• Undertake training including computer Based Training, mandatory Security Training in compliance with company and CAA standards
• Meet compliance and throughput targets as stipulated by the DfT, CAA and the Security Management Team
• Achieve an acceptable level of competence which is continuously measured through relevant performance evaluation means

NB: Successful applicants must be 18 years or above, able to provide us 5 years checkable work/ education history and pass a satisfactory criminal record check.
